How to View Consumption History
Trussville Gas & Water’s service team reads our customers’ gas and water meters monthly. Each month, the consumption (or usage) is calculated to determine the billing charge for the month. Natural gas is measured in cubic feet and water is measured in gallons. To determine how much gas or water has been used since the previous reading, we simply subtract last month’s reading from the current reading. By keeping track of gas and water consumption, you will be better able to track your gas and water usage and become more aware of conserving energy and water. Additionally, if there is a drastic, unseasonable change in gas or water usage, you may want to check for a leak.
