How to Pay Your Bill

Trussville Gas & Water provides several ways for our customers to pay utility bills. In addition to tradition mailed payments, we now offer some easier, more cost-effective ways to pay.


ONLINE CUSTOMER PORTAL

Log on to our secure server to view your account information and pay your bills through our third-party bill payment processor, Paymentus. This offers our customers an easy and secure online option for payments. The Paymentus customer portal offers several options to make your utility bill payments easier, including AutoPay, Paperless billing and more! This improved interface will allow our customers to pay their bill whenever, wherever and however they want.

If you are having trouble logging in, please check to make sure you have entered your email address and password correctly.  You will also need your customer number and PIN, which are located on your utility bill.  If you continue to experience problems, please call our main office at 205-655-3211.

Online features include:

  • An option to enroll in paperless billing with email or text reminders.
  • Ability to schedule automatic payments from bank account or credit card.
  • A “Pay Now” feature that allows quick payments without registering.
  • Ability to save payment information securely.
  • Ability to register an account and view pay history, past statements and utility usage information.
  • Cash payment options at various local retailers.

All of our payment portals will accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, electronic checks and advanced payment methods including Apple Pay and Venmo! Trussville Gas & Water will cover the costs associated with these services.

We are excited about these evolving payment options as they reflect our continual commitment to providing a superior customer service experience for our Trussville Gas & Water community. We value our customers and recognize that they want flexibility, accessibility, convenience, and a user-friendly experience without sacrificing security. We believe these features will deliver them.


CASH PAYMENTS

We have two cash payment options available to our customers.

Walmart Pay:

  • Yes, you can Pay your Trussville Gas & Water bills at your local Walmart!
  • Ask a Walmart associate to direct you to the “Walmart Money Center” that is typically located near the front of the store.
  • Have your utility bill and ID with you the first time you pay your bill to set up an account with Walmart Money Center.
  • After the initial account is set up, you can make future utility payments at the Walmart Money Center with cash or debit card.
  • You will receive a receipt of your transaction, and your payments will be applied to your account the following business day.
  • If your account is delinquent and scheduled for service turn off, you will not be able to make payments through Walmart Pay.  You will need to contact our offices at 205-655-3211 to make a payment.

Scan to Pay:

  • Cash payments can also be made at several local retailers, including Walgreens, CVS, Dollar General and more.
  • Simply visit our customer payment portal HERE.
  • Under the “Make One Time Payment” option, click the blue button, PAY NOW.
  • Enter your customer and PIN (which are located at the top of your utility bill), and your email address.
  • Enter the amount to pay and select the CASH payment option.
  • Click “Choose Retail Location” and you will be given a list of locations to make your payment.
  • Select the location you would like to make your payment.
  • You will be emailed a scan code (or you can print it from the customer portal). Take this scan code with you to the location you selected to make your payment with in 24 hours.
  • Visit the checkout counter and present the scan code. Let the cashier know that you are making your utility payment. (They are familiar with this process as many other retailers, including Alabama Power, offer payment options available these locations.)
  • That’s it! You will receive a receipt of your transaction, and your payments will be applied to your account the following business day.
  • If your account is delinquent and scheduled for service turn off, you will not be able to make payments through the Scan to Pay option.  You will need to contact our offices at 205-655-3211 to make a payment.

MAIL

While we still accept paper checks by mail, we want to let our customers know that this is now the least secure method of payment. With the rise in utility scams, mail fraud, and “check washing,” mailing checks poses a greater risk than ever before. Fortunately, we offer a variety of secure online payment options designed to protect your information and make paying your bill faster and more convenient. We encourage you to explore these safer alternatives for your peace of mind. However, if you still prefer to mail a paper check, you may send that to our address:

For faster service, we now offer a self-pay-by phone option. If you would like to pay your bill thorough our automated phone payment system, call 205-655-3211, 24-hours a day. Select option #2 to be directed to the self-pay option.  It is fast, secure, and makes paying your utility bill by phone, easy!
